Volusia teacher arrested, accused of sending sexual messages to 14-year-old girl

Stephen Ward, 69, was arrested after the girl’s mother called deputies early Saturday morning and told them she found messages from Ward on her daughter’s phone, authorities said. Ward teaches physical education and coaches volleyball at Stetson Baptist Christian School.

Authorities say the texts referenced Ward performing sex acts on the girl.

MICDS teacher arrested on sex crime charges

A teacher at MICDS (Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School) in Ladue is behind bars after investigators said he had sexual relations with a boy in St. Genevieve County. Court documents said Richard Joseph Schwartz Ives, 48, used an app called Grinder and asked the underage boy to meet up.

Investigators said the victim is under the age of 15. The charges show no indication that the victim was a student at MICDS.

Oswego Co. teacher charged with sending inappropriate Facebook message to student

According to New York State Police, Joseph R. Pappa, 48, of Oswego, was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.

Pappa, a school teacher at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District, is accused of sending an inappropriate Facebook message to a 16-year-old female student.
